경총 “6대 첨단산업 수출시장 점유율, 4년새 25.5%↓” (2025)

반도체 등 6대 산업 수출 시장 점유율 하락해 경쟁국들과 순위 역전

반도체·디스플레이·배터리·미래차·바이오·로봇 등 6대 국가첨단전략산업의 수출시장 점유율이 2018년 대비 2022년 25.5% 감소했다는 분석이 나왔다.

한국경영자총협회가 21일 발표한 ‘6대 국가 첨단전략산업 수출시장 점유율 분석 및 시사점’에 따르면, 2018년 대비 2022년 우리 6대 국가첨단전략산업의 수출시장 점유율이 크게 하락해 경쟁국들과 순위가 역전된 것으로 나타났다.

경총은 “최근 미국 인플레이션감축법(IRA)법, EU 반도체법 등 주요국들이 첨단산업 육성 지원에 적극 나서며 기술 경쟁이 치열해지고 있다”며 “이에, 우리 6대 국가첨단전략산업의 수출시장 점유율을 분석하고 시사점을 도출코자 했다”고 밝혔다.

2022년 우리 6대 산업 수출액은 총 1860억 달러로 2018년(1884억 달러) 대비 1.2% 감소했다. 우리 전산업 수출에서 6대 산업이 차지하는 비중도 31.1%(2018년)에서 27.2%(2022년)로 하락했다.

수출 비중 감소에도 불구하고, 2022년 우리 수출에서 6대 산업이 차지하는 비중(27.2%)은 주요 6개국(한국, 미국, 중국, 일본, 독일, 대만) 중 대만(48.1%) 다음으로 높아, 6대 산업이 우리 경제에서 차지하는 비중이 여전히 경쟁국에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났다.

2018년 대비 2022년 우리 6대 산업의 수출시장 점유율은 8.4%에서 6.5%로 25.5% 하락한 것으로 나타났다. 미국(1.3%)과 중국(2.7%)의 수출시장 점유율은 우리보다 적게 하락했고, 대만(+31.8%)과 독일(+4.6%)의 수출시장 점유율은 오히려 상승한 것으로 분석됐다.

2022년 우리 6대 산업의 수출시장 점유율(6.5%)은 중국(14.1%), 독일(8.3%), 대만(8.1%), 미국(7.6%)보다 낮은 수준으로 집계됐다. 이는 2018년 6개국 중 중국 다음으로 수출시장 점유율이 높았던 것에 비하면, 우리 수출시장 점유율 순위가 독일, 대만, 미국 3개국에 역전된 것이다.

우리 6대 산업 중 수출 규모가 가장 큰 반도체는 2018년 대비 2022년 수출시장 점유율이 13.0%에서 9.4%로 32.5% 하락한 것으로 집계됐다. 동기간 디스플레이 수출시장 점유율은 9.9%에서 10.3%로 4.8% 상승해 산업별로 대조를 이뤘다.

2022년 우리 반도체의 수출시장 점유율은 9.4%로 6개국 중 중국(15.7%)과 대만(15.4%) 다음으로 높았다. 그러나, 세계 반도체 수출이 2018년 대비 31.8% 증가했음에도, 우리 수출액은 오히려 감소(1293→ 1285억 달러)하면서 우리 반도체 수출시장 점유율은 2018년 13.0%에서 2022년 9.4%로 하락(32.5%)했다. 반면, 대만의 수출시장 점유율은 동기간 11.2%에서 15.4%로 크게 상승(+32.2%)하며 우리와 대만 간 수출시장 점유율 순위가 역전된 것으로 집계됐다.

2022년 우리 디스플레이의 수출시장 점유율은 10.3%로 6개국 중 중국(24.5%) 다음으로 높았다. 2022년은 2018년 대비 우리 수출액이 감소(359→ 250억 달러)했음에도, 세계 디스플레이 수출도 41.1% 줄면서 우리 디스플레이 수출시장 점유율은 2018년 9.9%에서 2022년 10.3%로 오히려 상승(+4.8%)했다. 그러나, 독일(+36.5%), 대만(+29.0%), 미국(+25.9%)에 비해 상승률은 낮게 나타났다.

하상우 경총 경제조사본부장은 “최근 각국의 강력한 지원 속에 글로벌 기술 경쟁이 한층 치열해지고 있는 가운데, 반도체를 비롯한 우리 첨단산업의 수출시장 점유율이 약화되고 있다”며 “최근 정부가 발표한 국가첨단산업벨트 조성, 혁신인재 양성 등 계획을 차질 없이 추진하고, 규제 완화, 세제지원 확대 등 첨단산업 경쟁력과 국가 성장잠재력 제고를 위한 보다 전향적인 대책들이 추진돼야 할 것”이라고 강조했다.
